How do YOU define Success?
For some people success is about making a lot of money or building a big business, for others it may be about raising a family, or about making other people happy or improving their quality of life. Or maybe success is about developing loving and caring relationships or contributing to your community. Some will feel successful when they acquire more knowledge or life experiences, or maybe when they solve a really important problem, or contribute to a greater global cause.
Yes, accumulating more money, assets and status is considered by many as being successful, but you can also measure success by the amount of happiness you experience in your daily life. And happiness and joy may come from being able to create something new, or acquire love, knowledge, or friends. Or maybe Success to you is about feeling fulfilled, or about doing your best and being the best you can with what you have. Maybe it is about utilizing all your potential, skills and gifts, developing yourself and making an impact.
Discovering your definition of “Success” will help you clarify your purpose and direction in life and will encourage you setting and pursuing meaningful goals. Dig deeper and give yourself some time to ponder and discover your inner truth. The answer will empower and excite you, and set you on the right path. Explore … Dream … Discover...
And remember that Success is a journey, not a destination. So while you climb the mountain and getting closer to reaching the sky, don’t forget to look back, enjoy the views and appreciate your progress and the people that have helped you get thus far.
